Maggie Deininger Berris 

In 2011, I worked as a freelance writer for the Solon and Twinsburg Patch.com sites. This was a fun opportunity to be a journalist at the local level. I covered topics in the arts, and got the scoop of a new yoga gym opening in Solon, the Oasis Yoga Spa. I wrote two articles, one while the studio was under construction and the second after the yoga spa was open. I did a follow-up mini column where I sampled all the classes and wrote about my experience in the classes. I also got the scoop of a Solon High School teacher who had been teaching for years in the photography department and was very popular among the students, and left to start his own business as a professional photographer shooting senior pictures.
